What a legend! What an unforgettable voice from the 70-s.
And what a radical new direction of the brains behind the UK entry — Humperdinck will be representing Great Britain for 2012 Eurovision Song Contest :)

His career is now undergoing something of a renaissance and a new album is planned for this year. In 2011 Humperdinck toured Belgium, Romania, Russia, Israel and the Netherlands — successfully. So no doubt — he remains very popular in a number of the countries competing — and voting — in the song contest.

His main achievements:
— four Grammy nominations;
— a Golden Globe for entertainer of the year;
— 63 gold records;
— 24 platinum records;
— a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Perhaps, this time Humperdinck will do for a knighthood :) Why not? Surely he deserves it…

Humperdinck, who turns 76 at the beginning of May, said: “It’s an absolute honour to be representing my country for this year's Eurovision Song Contest. When the BBC approached me, it just felt right for me to be a part of an institution like Eurovision. I’m excited and raring to go and want the nation to get behind me.”

The Eurovision single for Humperdinck will be written and produced by the team behind Adele and Lana Del Rey.
No doubt — we got to remember this year’s Brits' EuroVision entry.
