To stand against the wiles of the devil

At the wish of Margaret Thatcher, a central role in her funeral ceremony was given to her 19- years old granddaughter, Amanda. Amanda addressed the audience with the reading from the Bible, from St Paul's Letter to the Ephesians VI, 10-18 (also Margaret Thatcher’s choice). This Letter is about permanent fight “against the wiles of the devil…, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”.
It must have been difficult for a teenager — to read the Bible in front of the Queen, the Prime Minister, foreign dignitaries, millions TV-watchers. But Amanda was fearless & perfect — she addressed the audience with remarkable confidence, grace & real class.
